Vegan Wines
Wine can basically be considered a vegetable and therefore vegan product. However, in order to remove wine after fermentation of turbidity or prevent subsequent turbidity wines are fined using various filtration methods. In the clarification (including environmental) there are usually tierliche tools such as Egg white, gelatin or isinglass (fish protein) were used.

At vegan wines are wines in which:
- Either no fining occurs (through a much longer shelf life itself solve the corresponding substances and settle to the bottom of the barrel, the clear part above the sediment can be pumped)
- Or solely nichttierliche fining agents such as Bentonite (a natural mineral clay) or so-called vegetable gelatin is used (usually made from algae)

The winemaking begins either substantially with the recovery of the must for white wine or with the fermentation of the must for red wine vinification. For Most obtaining the grapes are pressed and the juice runs off to be processed. When you must not there is a clear liquid, as it contains a lot of sediment particles, and other airborne particles from the pressed grapes. The same also applies to the red after pressing the mash. These opacities are from sugars, proteins or polyphenolic compounds contained naturally in wine or derived from the yeast responsible for the alcoholic fermentation.

After completion of the fermentation, the suspended particles accumulate more or less rapidly and completely to the ground and form the sediment, while above it finished fermented wine is clear. The solution clarifies lasts, however, depending on the state of the wine weeks or months.

Besides the above sediments of wine contains more first colloidally dissolved particles only under certain conditions such as Changes in temperature or after a certain time as a clouding or striation become visible. To remove this sediment particles and prevent them wines are fined as the last step of the winemaking and a special filtration method run.
