The Clincher rim uses alloy braking surface for high braking performance with standard brake pads and has a low rim weight and is achieved by reducing the alloy wall thickness from 1.3 mm down to 0.7 mm, then a patented phosphoric acid anodizing process is used to bond the carbon fibre to the alloy giving an excellent combination of low weight, strength and rigidity.
Braking Surface: The clincher rim uses an alloy braking surface for high performance with standard brake pads.
Rolling Weight: The low rim weight is achieved by reducing the alloy wall thickness from 1.3 mm down to 0.7 mm, then a patented phosphoric acid anodizing process is used to bond the carbon fibre to the alloy giving an excellent combination of low weight, strength and rigidity.
Spokes: The WH7900 C24 CL is laced with 20 stainless steel butted, bladed, and straight pull spokes with an elbow-less design for a strong yet compliant wheel. The spoke eyelets are carbon reinforced for increased durability. High lateral rigidity is produced by a 3 mm offset asymmetric rim and wide flange spacing.
Hub and Freehub: The freehub uses a quick pawl engagement every 10 degrees for instant power transfer.
Labyrinth double-contact sealing effectively shuts out water and dirt. Borozon treated bearing races with super mirror finish reduces friction with digital click bearing adjustment to make them quick and easy to maintain.
A cold forged, machined aluminium hub shell and oversized 7075 alloy axle combined with a titanium Freehub body keep the wheel weight to a minimum.
