I'm new and hope someone can help me out - I've tried everything I can think of!
Basically, when I load my .cfg file with its skeletons/meshes/animations etc out in the miniviewer binary v10...I get this error message:
Loading skeleton 'am3_skeleton.CSF'...
cal3d : Incompatible file version in F: Developcal3d-0.10.0srccal3dloader.cpp
Creation of the viewer failed.
I can run the .cgf files that are used in cally-2.11.0 (i.e. cally.cfg, paladin.cfg, etc), and the .cfg files that come with delta 3D1.4 (i.e. marine & opfor cfg's & csf's etc); just NOT the files that I create myself.
TO create these files I followed the CAL3d & max tutorial for building the skeleton and exporting it all:
I am using Max version 8 with the exporter plugins for 3dsmax8 (come in cal3d_exporter_binaries-0.11.0). This means that I'm using cal3d.dll in the max directory that ships with cal3d v11, i.e. dated 11/8/06 and not cal3d.dll dated 1/12/05 that comes with the miniviewer10. Is this the problem?
Do I need to recompile the miniviewer for cal3d v11? I'm having trouble with this.. Is miniviewer source code for 10 or preferably 11 available anywhere? Or even just miniviewer binary for cal 3d 11?
When I try to compile miniviewer 9 src code with cal3d 11 src code, I get error messages e.g. cal3d/examples/miniviewere_gl/src/global.h gives me this error message
fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'cal3d/cal3d.h': No such file or directory
I'm working on windows XP with visual studio .net 2003.
I want to create .rbody's and run the animations and characters in delta 3d, but first I need to get them working in cal3d. Has anyone seen this problem with loading CFG files into the miniviewer, or have any suggestions? (I can send my cfg, csf, etc files if anyone cares to take a look at them...)
