Add 'Award Winning' to the list of descriptors of the Delta3D game engine!!



The interactive VESSEL Damage Control Trainer (DCT) was chosen by a vote of all attendees as the 'Best Business Entry' in the I/ITSEC 2009 Serious Games Challenge. The game, which helps Navy recruits prepare for their transition to the fleet, was built using the Delta3D open source gaming engine. The Challenge identifies game-based technologies and solutions that improve training across all segments for individuals, groups and systems.

Raytheon-BBN led the VESSEL development team under ONR sponsorship, with contributions from Alion; IDSI; UCF; IDEAS; and UCLA CREST.
